Meet The Founders
The Vabel co-founders on the origins of their collaboration and their innovative vision of what new homes can be. We explore their fresh approach to how spaces are designed and built, and ultimately how they feel to live in.
All our homes are designed, developed, and built by us. Our holistic approach is more than a process, it’s a mindset. Bringing together many minds, all under the same roof – nurturing one vision, from the first sketches to handing over the keys.
Whilst most residential developers outsource the design and construction elements of bringing a project to life – Vabel doesn’t. Having experienced the disconnect between developer and their external consultants and delivery teams, who often work independently of each other, we knew we had an opportunity to do things differently – better even.
At Vabel we have the core disciplines of architecture, interior design, project management and construction in-house. We are accountable for everything we do. We find our purpose in collaborating to revolutionise the quality of new build homes and how they’re conceptualised, designed and built.
Placing the living experience at the heart of our process, we apply a human approach to designing buildings. Combining innovative technologies with age-old craftsmanship we build homes with a deep appreciation for both form and function with an unwavering dedication to quality.

We were thrilled to be recognised with two awards at The Evening Standard’s 2022 New Home Awards, which is judged by both readers of the newspaper and industry experts.

We sit down to speak with Max Bontoft, our Project Architect and recent New York City marathon finisher, about his journey to Vabel and how his love affair with running may have something to do with his commitment to quality and reputation amongst colleagues, for going above and beyond.
