Living at Vabel Chamberlayne.

Home is where our life unfolds, where our life plays out. Jason has lived at Vabel Chamberlayne for over two years and loves the village vibes of Kensal Rise, almost as much as he loves the stunning view of London from his balcony. We sit down with Jason to explore what makes Vabel Chamberlayne home.

What does home mean to you and how does Vabel represent this?

For me home is about the comfort and convenience of living how you want to. Working a hybrid policy; I need my apartment to allow for work productivity and relaxation to wind down at the end of the day. With the flat being so spacious it makes both of these possible. I love working from home in the heart of London, with the endless coffee shops, gyms and supermarkets on my doorstep. And being so close to Central London when I do commute to work it only takes me 40 minutes door to door. Giving me a pretty good lifestyle.

What inspired you to live here at Vabel Chamberlayne?

Vabel Chamberlayne clearly stood-out as the best in my whole search . Not only did it have a distinct sense of style, but I was particularly attracted to the immaculate finishes and quality of design applied to every aspect of the property. I am proud to entertain my friends here and call this my home.

What have you loved about moving to Kensal Rise?

I’m living in the center of it all. Close enough to enjoy all the bright lights of Central London, but far enough to get the benefits of being part of a real London community. I can cycle to Hyde Park in under fifteen minutes, wander down to the Portobello Market and grab dinner at one of the incredible neighbourhood restaurants. It’s a great place to live.

What is the standout feature of your home?

Hands down it got to be the spectacular view of the London Skyline. I live on the top floor and the windows frame it perfectly. I still can’t  believe I have the privilege of waking up to it every day. I love watching the city come to life in the morning, and seeing it light up at night  – it’s the perfect spot to watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks!

What’s your perfect Sunday?

I love to start the day early. I head to the gym around the corner first thing and follow it up with a coffee on my way home at Wild Card, an independent coffee shop on the corner of Chamberlayne Road. Then it’s got to be brunch with my flat mate at Milk Beach, before  wandering home to watch whatever sport is on. I love keeping the balcony door open to let the breeze roll in.

Time to share a local secret or two- what’s your favourite local?

My absolute favourite is Carmel restaurant in Queen’s Park. It’s a hidden gem and the best middle eastern food I’ve tried (outside of Israel of course) and it’s only a short walk from here. I urge anyone that hasn’t been to try it.
